In effect though only a few old and defunct laws such as:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The Excise (Spirits) Act, 1863<\/li>\n<li>The Foreign Recruiting Act, 1874<\/li>\n<li>The Indian Law Reports Act, 1875<\/li>\n<li>The Elephants Preservation Act, 1879<\/li>\n<li>The Excise (Malt Liquors) Act, 1890<\/li>\n<li>The Lepers Act, 1898<\/li>\n<li>The Indian Tramways Act, 1902<\/li>\n<li>The Wild Birds and Animals Protection Act, 1912<\/li>\n<li>The Mussalman Wakf Validating Act, 1913<\/li>\n<li>The Indian Medical Degrees Act, 1916<\/li>\n<li>The Local Authorities Pensions and Gratuities Act, 1919<\/li>\n<li>The Mussalman Wakf Validating Act, 1930<\/li>\n<li>The Children (Pledging of Labour) Act, 1933<\/li>\n<li>The Red Cross Society (Allocation of Property) Act, 1936<\/li>\n<li>The Employers\u2019 Liability Act, 1938<\/li>\n<li>The Railways (Local Authorities\u2019 Taxation) Act, 1941<\/li>\n<li>The Continuance of Legal Proceedings Act, 1948<\/li>\n<li>The Exchange of Prisoners Act, 1948<\/li>\n<li>The Resettlement of Displaced Persons (Land Acquisition) Act, 1948<\/li>\n<li>The Delhi Hotels (Control of Accommodation) Act, 1949<\/li>\n<li>The Merged States (Laws) Act, 1949<\/li>\n<li>The Drugs (Control) Act, 1950<\/li>\n<li>The Indian Independence Pakistan Courts (Pending Proceedings) Act, 1952<\/li>\n<li>The Newspaper (Price and Page) Act, 1956<\/li>\n<li>The Sugar (Regulation of Production) Act, 1961<\/li>\n<li>The State-Associated Banks (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1962<\/li>\n<li>The Personal Injuries (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1962<\/li>\n<li>The Compulsory Deposit Scheme Act, 1963<\/li>\n<li>The Personal Injuries (Compensation Insurance) Act, 1963<\/li>\n<li>The Banking Laws (Application to Co-operative Societies) Act, 1965<\/li>\n<li>The State Agricultural Credit Corporations Act, 1968<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">have been repealed. The rest of the Acts that have been repealed are Amendment Acts, Acquisition of Undertakings Acts, Extension and Validation Acts or Repeal Acts.
