Khaitan & Co advised U M Cables Limited (“U M Cable<\/span>s”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Usha Martin Limited, on the sale of its optical fibre and related cable manufacturing and sales business to RR Kabel Limited (“RR Kabel”<\/span>) through a slump sale.<\/p>\n

U M Cables is a wholly owned subsidiary of Usha Martin Limited and is engaged in the manufacture and sale of optical fibre and related cables.<\/p>\n

RR Kabel is a leading Indian wires and cables manufacturer. The transaction marks RR Kabel’s entry into the optical fibre cable segment and expands its presence in the broader communication cables market.<\/p>\n

The core team comprised of Anuj Shah (Partner), Prithwijit Gangopadhyay (Partner), Vibhav Seth (Principal Associate), Sanjana Dwivedi (Senior Associate) and Yashvi Chandak (Associate).<\/p>\n
