The Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Justice, Government of India, notified the appointment of Dharmalingam Lingeswaran<\/span> and Balathandayutham Karthikeyan as Additional Judges of the Madras High Court<\/span> through a notification dated 13 October 2026<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The appointments by the President of India have been made under Article 224(1)<\/a><\/span> of the Constitution of India<\/a> for a period of two years from the dates on which they assume charge of their respective offices<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The appointments follow the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium dated 18 May 2026<\/span>, which approved the proposals for appointment of nine judicial officers and 10 advocates as Judges of the Madras High Court.<\/p>\n
