On 5 October 2026, the Ministry of Finance<\/span> notified the interest rate applicable to deposits made under the Special Deposit Scheme for Non-Government Provident, Superannuation and Gratuity Funds<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The interest rate will take effect from 1 October 2026<\/span>.<\/p>\n

    The interest rate applies to deposits made under the Special Deposit Scheme for Non-Government Provident, Superannuation and Gratuity Funds<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    The notification determines the rate of return payable on deposits maintained under the Special Deposit Scheme by eligible non-government provident funds, superannuation funds and gratuity funds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    For the quarter ending December 2026, such deposits will continue to earn interest at 7.1% per annum<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    The notified rate will be applicable for the period 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    By retaining the rate at 7.1%, the Government has ensured continuity and predictable returns for eligible provident, superannuation and gratuity funds during the quarter.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
