Organised by the Supreme Court&#8217;s Juvenile Justice Committee in association with the United Nations Children&#8217;s Fund (<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">UNICEF<\/span>), the consultation will review the implementation of the Act and identify priorities for strengthening juvenile justice and child protection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Chief Justice of India, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Surya Kant<\/span>, will inaugurate the consultation. The inaugural session will feature remarks by <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice B.V. Nagarathna<\/span>, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chairperson of the Juvenile Justice Committee, and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Cynthia McCaffrey<\/span>, Country Representative, UNICEF India. The Chief Justice of India will also release a compendium of landmark Supreme Court and High Court judgments on the Act covering the period from 2015 to September 2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The two-day deliberations will address the rights of children in conflict with the law, preliminary assessment in heinous offences, adoption, institutional care, rehabilitation and implementation challenges across States and Union Territories.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The consultation will conclude on 11 October with a valedictory session featuring remarks by representatives of UNICEF India and the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Ministry of Women and Child Development<\/span>, followed by closing remarks from <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice J.B.
