It is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and UGC. The Department of Law offers B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programs aimed at fostering legal research, ethical values, and professional excellence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #1f1f1f;\">Structure of the Competition<\/h3>\n<p>The competition will be conducted in a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Hybrid Format<\/span> (Online + Offline):<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Online Rounds (2nd &#8212; 4th November 2026):<\/span> Researcher&#8217;s Test, SCC Online Training Session, Preliminary Rounds, and Quarter-Final Rounds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Offline Rounds (13th &#8212; 14th November 2026):<\/span> Semi-Finals, Final Round, and Valedictory Ceremony at MSI, Janakpuri, New Delhi.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #1f1f1f;\">Moot Proposition Overview<\/p>\n<p>The Moot Proposition revolves around complex criminal law questions set in the context of criminal conspiracy, circumstantial evidence, the &#8216;last-seen&#8217; theory, and forensic evidence. The case is currently before the Supreme Court of Bharatvarsha and touches upon key constitutional issues:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Circumstantial Evidence:<\/span> Whether the chain of evidence is complete to establish guilt beyond reasonable doubt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Reversal of Acquittal:<\/span> Validity of the High Court&#8217;s order reversing the Trial Court&#8217;s acquittal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Trial <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">in Absentia<\/span> (Section 356 BNSS):<\/span> Constitutional validity of conducting criminal trials in the absence of a proclaimed offender under the new Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #1f1f1f;\">Eligibility &amp; Team Composition<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>The competition is open to all students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree programs from any law school\/college\/university recognized by the Bar Council of India.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Each team shall consist of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">3 members<\/span> (2 Speakers and 1 Researcher).
