On 11 August 2026, the Maharashtra Government notified amendments to the Table of Fees under the Registration Act, 1908<\/a>. The notification substitutes Articles X, XIV and XXII of the existing Table of Fees.<\/p>\n

The revised provisions cover fees for searches and inspections, digital and paper copies of records, and attendance at private residences or jails. The notification also retains a concessional search fee for Land Development Banks and Commercial Banks.<\/p>\n

    The Revenue and Forests Department has issued the amendment under Section 78<\/a> of the Registration Act, 1908<\/a>, substituting specified entries in the Table of Fees originally published on 17 July 1961.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The amended provisions substitute the existing Articles X, XIV and XXII of the Table of Fees, replacing the earlier fee structure applicable to searches, copies and attendance at private residences or jails.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Under substituted Article X<\/span>, inspection or viewing of an entry relating to a property through the computerized system, where the information is contained in a single document, will cost Rs. 50.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Searches relating to every document or property available in the computerised system will attract a fee of Rs. 500 for every 10-year period or part thereof.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    A uniform search fee of Rs. 15 per application will continue to apply to searches taken by Land Development Banks and Commercial Banks, irrespective of the number of properties covered in the application.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Under substituted Article XIV<\/span>, a computerised digitally signed copy (PDF or similar electronic format) will cost:<\/p>\n
