The Forum will bring together Chief Justices, Presidents of Supreme Courts and senior judicial representatives from BRICS Member States and Partner Countries. It will serve as a platform for judicial dialogue and exchange of views on contemporary issues concerning justice delivery, international dispute resolution, technology and sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Bilateral engagements<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On the opening day of the Forum, Hon&#8217;ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, will hold a series of bilateral meetings with heads of judicial delegations from <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Russia, China, Egypt, Indonesia, the UAE, Belarus, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Iran and Uzbekistan<\/span>. These meetings will facilitate direct interaction and an exchange of views on matters of mutual judicial interest, while further strengthening cooperation and engagement between the participating judiciaries.<\/p>\n<p>The judicial leaders scheduled to meet the Chief Justice of India include<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Igor Krasnov, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of the Russian Federation;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Zhang Jun, Chief Justice of the People&#8217;s Republic of China and President, Supreme People&#8217;s Court;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Boulos Fahmy Iskander Boulos, Chief Justice, Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Prof. Dr Sunarto, S.H., M.H., Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Indonesia;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Mohammed Hamad Al Badi Al Dhaheri, President, UAE Federal Supreme Court;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Andrei Shved, Chairman, Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Aslambek Mergaliyev, Chairman, Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Mahube Betty Molemela, President, Supreme Court of Appeal of South Africa;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>H.E. Ayatollah Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Eje&#8217;I, Chief Justice, Islamic Republic of Iran; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">H.E. Malikakhon Kalandarova, Deputy Chairperson, Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Addresses by Heads of Delegations<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On the second day, Heads of Delegations representing BRICS Member States and Partner Countries will address the Forum and present their perspectives on issues of common interest to judicial institutions. Judicial leaders from <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, South Africa and the UAE<\/span>, along with representatives of Partner Countries including <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Belarus, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan<\/span>, will participate in the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Key themes of the Forum<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0%;\">The substantive deliberations of the Forum will centre around four key themes:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Mediation and International Commercial Disputes:<\/span> <span style=\"\">The session will examine mediation as an important strategic tool for resolving international commercial disputes in the context of an increasingly globalised economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Cross-Border Enforcement of Arbitral Awards:<\/span> <span style=\"\">The discussions will focus on the challenges involved in enforcing arbitral awards across jurisdictions and explore the scope for greater procedural harmonisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Artificial Intelligence and the Judiciary:<\/span> <span style=\"\">The Forum will deliberate upon digital innovation and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence, particularly in relation to the future of judicial administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Judicial Leadership and Sustainable Development:<\/span> <span style=\"\">The session will examine the role of the judiciary in ecological governance and in promoting the development of sustainable energy systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The BRICS Chief Justices&#8217; Forum is expected to foster closer judicial dialogue, facilitate the exchange of experiences and strengthen cooperation among BRICS Member States and Partner Countries on emerging legal and institutional issues.
