Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal transfer\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal<\/span>, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh, to Rajasthan High Court, but also his elevation as that High Court&#8217;s Chief Justice<a id=\"fnref2\" href=\"#fn2\" title=\"2. Rajasthan HC Chief Justice appointment\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/a>. Currently, Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma is the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This recommendation assumes significance in the light of concerns raised by sitting Judge of Supreme Court of India, Justice Sandeep Mehta whereby the Chief Justice of India had assured that the concerns will be dealt with strictly through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2026\/08\/27\/cji-surya-kant-justice-sandeep-mehta-rajasthan-hc\/\" target=\"_blank\">established institutional mechanism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Also read:<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2026\/08\/27\/cji-surya-kant-justice-sandeep-mehta-rajasthan-hc\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Allegations against a Sitting Judge must go through established institutional mechanism&#8221;: CJI Surya Kant takes note of concerns raised by Justice Sandeep Mehta<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #c00000;\">Chief Justice, Chhattisgarh High Court<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">In a meeting held on 6 August 2026, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended appointment of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra<\/span>, who is currently a Judge of Orissa High Court, as Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, consequent upon retirement of incumbent Chief Justice on 4 September 2026. The Supreme Court Collegium notified this recommendation on 31 August 2026<a id=\"fnref3\" href=\"#fn3\" title=\"3. Orissa HC Chief Justice Recommendation\"><sup>3<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #c00000;\">Chief Justice, Madhya Pradesh High Court<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Supreme Court Collegium on 31 August 2026 notified the recommendation to elevate <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Alpesh Yeshvant Kogje<\/span>, currently Judge of Gujarat High Court, as Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court<a id=\"fnref4\" href=\"#fn4\" title=\"4. supra\"><sup>4<\/sup><\/a>.
