Affiliated with the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar<\/span> and functioning under the aegis of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Ministry of Home Affairs<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Government of India<\/span>, UPSIFS focuses on developing competent legal and forensic professionals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Institute follows a unique <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Law-with-Labs&#8221;<\/span> approach, integrating legal education with practical forensic training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About the Opportunity<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">1st UPSIFS National Moot Court Competition, 2026<\/span> is being organised by the Moot Court Committee, School of Law, Forensic Justice &amp; Policy Studies, UPSIFS. The Competition provides law students with an opportunity to engage in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">legal research, memorial drafting, oral advocacy, critical thinking, and courtroom argumentation<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Competition will be conducted in two phases:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Online Preliminary Rounds:<\/span> 15&#8212;16 October 2026<\/p>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Offline Rounds:<\/span> 30&#8212;31 October 2026 at UPSIFS, Lucknow.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Theme<\/p>\n<p>The Competition is centred on contemporary legal issues involving <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">constitutional and criminal law<\/span>, with an interdisciplinary focus on emerging challenges in law, technology, forensic investigation, and criminal justice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Eligibility<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Students pursuing a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">3-year LL.B. programme<\/span> or a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">5-year integrated law programme<\/span> are eligible.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Students enrolled exclusively in postgraduate or diploma programmes are <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">not eligible<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Each team shall consist of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2 or 3 members<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>\n<p>Three-member team: <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2 Speakers + 1 Researcher<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Two-member team: <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2 Speakers<\/span>, with one Speaker also serving as the Researcher.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Multiple teams from the same institution may participate, subject to submission of the prescribed <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">No Objection Certificate (NOC)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Registration Fee<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 3%;\">&#8377;3,000\/- per team<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The registration fee covers participation in the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Online Preliminary Rounds<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Teams qualifying for the offline phase shall additionally pay an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Accommodation &amp;
