{"id":392834,"date":"2026-08-10T11:00:28","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T05:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=392834"},"modified":"2026-08-10T11:41:54","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T06:11:54","slug":"sc-collegium-transfer-recommendations-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2026\/08\/10\/sc-collegium-transfer-recommendations-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Court Collegium recommends transfer of 2 Orissa High Court Judges to Gujarat and Chhattisgarh High Courts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">6 August 2026<\/span>, has recommended the transfer of two Judges of the Orissa High Court, namely <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra<\/span>, to the High Courts of Gujarat and Chhattisgarh, respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak<\/span>, whose parent High Court is the Gauhati High Court, is presently serving as a Judge of the High Court of Orissa. He joined the High Court of Orissa on transfer from the Gauhati High Court on 21 July 2025. The Collegium has now recommended his transfer from the High Court of Orissa to the Gujarat High Court.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra<\/span>, presently a Judge of the High Court of Orissa, has been recommended for transfer to the High Court of Chhattisgarh.
