On 11 July 2026, the Coordination Committee of All District Courts Bar Associations of Delhi issued a Message of Gratitude thanking members of the District Bar for their collective efforts following the recommendation of the Hon’ble Full Court of the High Court of Delhi to enhance the pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Courts to ₹10 crore.<\/p>\n

The Committee acknowledged the contribution of senior members of the Bar, District Court Bar Associations, Executive Committee members and advocates, stating that their unwavering support, active participation and valuable suggestions made the achievement possible.<\/p>\n

    The Coordination Committee of All District Courts Bar Associations of Delhi issued a message expressing gratitude to members of the District Bar.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The Committee attributed the achievement to the collective efforts and unity of the District Bar.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    The message refers to the recommendation of the Full Court of the Delhi High Court to enhance the pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Courts from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    The Committee described the recommendation as a significant milestone for the District Judiciary.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    It stated that efforts would continue with the Government of India to further enhance the pecuniary jurisdiction to ₹20 crore or unlimited jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    The Committee emphasised that the achievement belongs to every member of the District Bar fraternity and reaffirmed that unity has been its greatest strength.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    Describing the recommendation as “a historic first step,” the Committee observed that the achievement was the result of sustained collective efforts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    It further called upon advocates to continue standing united in future initiatives aimed at strengthening the District Judiciary and improving the justice delivery system for litigants.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
