Reflecting the shift from a welfare-based approach to a rights-based framework, the conference draws upon the Constitution of India, the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), 2006, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002776237\" target=\"_blank\">Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016<\/a>. It aims to address persistent challenges relating to accessibility, education, employment, healthcare, access to justice, technology, and social inclusion, while recognising the intersectional dimensions of disability.
