National Law University Delhi in association with Ruhr Universit\u00e4t Bochum, Humboldt Universit\u00e4t zu Berlin, and Universit\u00e4t Hamburg<\/a> Berlin is organizing a two day conference on the theme \u2018Open Markets, Free Trade and Sustainable Development \u2013 Friends or Foes<\/em>.\u2019 from 13th<\/sup> to 15th<\/sup> March 2016. \u00a0The conference will feature presentations by scholars from Germany and India exploring potential synergies and dichotomies between open markets and free trade on the one hand and sustainable development policies on the other. The expected outcome of the conference is not only a critical analysis of the relevant socio-legal framework, but also generation of potential policy options on market liberalization, free trade enhancement, and strengthening of development policies and cooperation.<\/p>\n
