line-height: 150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On 19 May 2026, the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India<\/span> notified the<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Resolution Process for Corporate Persons) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2026<\/span> to amend the<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/OF78X9A8\" target=\"_blank\">Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Resolution Process for Corporate Persons) Regulations, 2016<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The provisions came into force on 20 May 2026.<\/p>\n<h3>All you need to know about the revised Regulation 27 relating to &#8220;Appointment of Professionals&#8221; of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Resolution Process for Corporate Persons) Regulations, 2016:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>The resolution professional will have to appoint valuers within 7 days of their appointment, but not later than 47 days from the insolvency start date.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>They will have to appoint two sets of registered valuers to determine the fair and liquidation value.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Exception:<\/span> If the company is an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises<\/span>, only <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">one set of valuers<\/span> needs to be appointed&#8212;unless the committee
