These provisions mainly enforce the amendments made in several Acts that have been introduced through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/amhV9ne2\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"Hyperlink\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: none; text-underline-style: none; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026<\/span>.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Amendments in various Acts that will be enforced starting from 15 May 2026:<\/h2>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/33rTc1tX\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Delhi Land Holdings (Ceiling) Act, 1960<\/span><\/a>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>The amendment mainly <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">introduces<\/span> a new provision relating to &#8220;Adjudication of penalties&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/5V7bn456\" target=\"_blank\">Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005<\/a>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>The amendment mainly <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">omits<\/span> the provision relating to &#8220;License to be exhibited&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/M8j910z8\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"Hyperlink\">Disaster Management Act, 2005-<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The amendment mainly <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">revises<\/span> the provisions relating to &#8220;Punishment for obstruction, false claim and, misappropriation of money or materials&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/SOx0TdNb\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"Hyperlink\">Civil Defence Act, 1968-<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The amendment mainly <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">introduces<\/span> 2 provisions relating to &#8220;Adjudication of Penalties&#8221; and &#8220;Power of Central Government to make rules&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink\/a8oeDr3H\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"Hyperlink\">Delhi Police Act, 1978-<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>The amendment mainly <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">revises<\/span> the provisions relating to &#8220;Causing obstruction and annoyance by performances, etc.&#8221; and &#8220;Penalties for offences under Section 80 to 87 and Section 91 to 94 or Section 96&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">It further omits the following sections relating to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Bathing or washing in places not set apart for those purposes;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Defiling water in public wells, etc.;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Obstructing bathers;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Committing nuisance in or near the street, etc.;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Penalty for failure to keep in confinement cattle, etc.;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Punishment for cruelty to animals;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; False alarm or fire or damage to fire alarm;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Being found under suspicious circumstances between sunset and sunrise;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Possession of property of which no satisfactory account can be given;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Taking pledge from child;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Cheating at game and gambling in street;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Penalty for not obtaining license in respect of place of public entertainment or certificate of registration in respect of eating house, or for not renewing such license or certificate within prescribed period.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-9001576690\" target=\"_blank\">New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994<\/a>&#8211;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The amendment mainly revises the provision text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Determination of annual value of covered space of building and of vacant land;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Transitory -18pt;\">&#10003; Projections over streets may be permitted in certain cases;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Prohibition of removal, etc., of lamps;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Provisions as to buildings and works on either side of new streets;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Collection and removal of filth and polluted matter through municipal agency;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Construction of latrines and urinals;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Latrines and urinals, etc., in new buildings;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#10003; Other provisions as to
