The Borrower has availed the financing for construction of a 140 MW (AC) wind power project in the state of Karnataka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This was the first external commercial borrowing transaction which financed a dollar denominated environmental attributes purchase agreement (EAPA) entered into with a non-resident offtaker. The EAPA adopted the principles of a virtual power purchase agreement with a strike price being agreed between the parties, any upside from sale of the power on the exchange being passed on to the offtaker and any downside being paid by the offtaker.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The transaction team was led by <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sangita John<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Partner<\/span>; with assistance from <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Shehryar Khanum<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Consultant;<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Samiya Zehra<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Senior Associate;<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Daksh Mehta, Sanjana Reddy, Sharun Salvi<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sanya Katare<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Associates.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-style: italic;\">The transaction marks a first-of-its-kind ECB financing linked to a dollar-denominated environmental attributes purchase agreement structured on virtual PPA
