Marking a milestone in the mooting history of the University, the team of Megha Mehta (II year), Sharvari Kothawade (II year) and Ayushi Agarwal (III year) representing the National Law School of India University, Bangalore has won the Eight Herbert Smith Freehills-NUJS Corporate Law Moot Court Competition held at the West Bengal National University of Judicial Sciences (NUJS) from 26 to 28 February 2016. The moot dealt with intriguing issues of corporate law such as oppression and mismanagement, its subject matter arbitrability and the nitty-gritties of corporate restructuring.<\/p>\n
The team speaks\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWe were privy to the two most frenetic days of our lives. Preparing for the moot was fun and kept us on our toes with red herrings and an intricately drafted fact scenario, however the oral rounds were a different kind of challenge altogether. The competition was stiff and every round was a close match. The judging was stellar and made us think about the problem in an all new perspective every time we were posed with a question. It was a roller coaster of emotions and a truly enriching experience.
