administrative stability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Act is deemed to have come into force with effect from<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> 2 June 2024<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h2>Background:<\/h2>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002927398\" target=\"_blank\">Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014<\/a><\/span> was enacted to divide Andhra Pradesh into two separate States following bifurcation:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Telangana<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; margin-bottom: 3%;\">Residual Andhra Pradesh<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">While <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Hyderabad served as a temporary common capital, Andhra Pradesh was required to establish a new one<\/span>, but shifting political priorities led to prolonged confusion and disputes over its
