The competition brought together teams from premier law institutions across the country, from the University of Kashmir in the North to the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru in the South, showcasing exceptional research, advocacy, and analytical abilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The event commenced on March 15, 2026, with a formal inaugural session. In his welcome address, Prof. Shakeel Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Law, highlighted the vital role of mooting in shaping legal intellect and fostering a commitment to an egalitarian society. The preliminary rounds were held online on the same day, culminating in the selection of eight teams for the advanced stages of the competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Advancing to the offline rounds, the quarterfinals were conducted on March 28, 2026, at the Faculty of Law, AMU, where the competition intensified, leading to the selection of four teams for the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The semi-final rounds were held across two courtrooms. In Courtroom 1, Mr. Kumail Haider, Advocate and Ms. Zehra Saman, Advocate, adjudicated the matter between TC 01 (petitioner) and TC 13 (respondent). Simultaneously, in Courtroom 2, Ms. Ramsha Tanvir, Civil Judge, Jaunpur, and Mr. Kunwar Mohd. Asad, Advocate presided over the case between TC 03 (petitioner) and TC 14 (respondent). The proceedings were marked by rigorous judicial engagement, with participants being tested on their legal reasoning, clarity, and courtroom advocacy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Following the semi-finals, Prof. Zafar Ahmad Khan, Faculty of Law, AMU, announced Team TC 03 and Team TC 13 as the finalists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The final round, held in the Moot Court Hall, was adjudicated by an eminent panel comprising Hon<span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt;\">&#8217;<\/span>ble Justice Rakesh Thapliyal (Judge, Uttarakhand High Court), Hon<span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt;\">&#8217;<\/span>ble Justice Satya Veer Singh (Judge, Allahabad High Court), Dr. Keshav Goyal (Special Secretary and Additional Legal Remembrancer, Nyay Vibhag, Government of Uttar Pradesh), Mr. Zoheb Hossain (Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India and Special Counsel for the Enforcement Directorate), Sri Gagan Kumar Bharti (Additional Judge and Special Judge, SC\/ST Act), and Sri Pankaj Kumar Agrawal (District and Sessions Judge, Aligarh).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The valedictory session was graced by Prof. Naima Khatoon, Vice-Chancellor of AMU, who, along with the distinguished judges, felicitated the participants. Team TC 03, comprising Vishnu Sharma and Purandar S from the National Law School of India University, emerged as the winners, while Team TC 13, consisting of Harmanpreet Kaur, Devansh Chaudhary, and Aditi Gautam from Asian Law College\/CCS University, secured the runner-up position.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The winners were awarded a cash prize of &#8377;21,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up team received &#8377;11,000 and a trophy. Special awards were also conferred: Best Speaker was awarded to Vishnu Sharma, Best Memorial to Team TC 15 from Jamia Millia Islamia, and Best Researcher to Aditi Gautam, each carrying a cash prize of &#8377;5,000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The final results were announced by Mohd. Bilal, Secretary, Moot Court Society, and the event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Princi Bhardwaj, Secretary, Law Society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Sir Syed National Moot Court Competition continues to stand as the flagship event of AMU, with yet another successful edition concluded through the collective efforts of its partners, faculty members,
