About the Conference:<\/h2>\n

The Courts and the Constitution Conference (CnC) is an annual public law conference that seeks to foster critical engagement with contemporary constitutional developments in India. The Conference is jointly organised by Law and Other Things Blog, NALSAR University of Law and BML Munjal University.<\/p>\n

The links of the previous editions can be found here (2025<\/a> and 2024<\/a>). It brings together judges, academics, practitioners, journalists, and students to critically engage with pressing constitutional developments. In previous editions, the Conference has hosted distinguished participants including Justice B.V. Nagarathna (Supreme Court of India), Justice Ravindra Bhat (Retd.), Justice Sapna Pradhan Malla (Supreme Court of Nepal), Prof. Sudhir Krishnaswamy, Shyam Divan, Arvind Narrain, Shadan Farasat, Dr. Nandini Sundar, Vrinda Bhandari, Apar Gupta, Suhirth Parthasarathy, and Dr. Gurpreet Mahajan, among others.<\/p>\n

The 2026 edition continues this tradition by reviewing key judicial trends and constitutional controversies from the previous year, while also offering deeper theoretical and doctrinal reflections on the future of constitutionalism in India. Through carefully curated panels and discussions, the conference aims to bridge scholarship and practice and encourage meaningful participation from emerging scholars and practitioners.<\/p>\n

Participation Cap:<\/h2>\n

Registration is limited to a maximum of 60 participants (students, academics, and practitioners combined). Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to payment confirmation.<\/p>\n
