District committees will now:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Evaluate local implementation and take corrective measures<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Maintain month wise statistics in electronic form, including pendency reasons<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Improve awareness among claimants<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide guidance to victims and families<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Supply required information to state- and national level authorities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Under newly inserted <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Paragraph 13A<\/span>, State councils will:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Assessing progress across districts<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Reviewing statewide monthly electronic statistics<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Issuing directions to improve scheme implementation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Reporting issues to Government or the Standing Committee.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>To modernize claim handling, the amendment mandates the use of an electronic <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">portal<\/span> managed by the GI Council. Applications, enquiry reports, and sanction communications are now required to be processed digitally.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Claims Settlement Commissioner will be required to sanction claims within <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">15 days<\/span> from receiving the Claims Enquiry Officer&#8217;s report.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The sanction order will be shared with:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>GI Council<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Claimant<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Claims Enquiry Officer<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Motor Accident Claims Tribunal<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Transport Commissioner<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>District Road Safety Committee<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The amendment replaces Forms I, II, and III with updated versions:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Form I<\/span> now collects:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Claimant&#8217;s contact
