About Central University of Haryana<\/h2>\n

Central University of Haryana is one of the fifteen Central Universities established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India (GoI) in the XI Five Year Plan (2007-2012) under the Central University Act-2009 of the Parliament.<\/p>\n

The University has been accredited with ‘A’ Grade in the second cycle of NAAC assessment and accreditation conducted in August 2023. The University has been listed among the top 150-200 Universities in NIRF ranking. It has been ranked No. 1 in Haryana, 44th nationally, and has secured a place in the 1001—1200 band globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026. It has been honoured with the prestigious “Emerging University of the Year” award by FICCI.<\/p>\n

The University is fully funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Permanent Campus is situated on 484 acres of land at Jant-Pali Villages, Mahendergarh district of Haryana. Presently, the University offers 86 academic programmes (UG\/PG\/Research).<\/p>\n

Details of the Event<\/h2>\n

The CUH First National Moot Court Competition, 2026<\/span>, is a criminal law—focused moot designed to simulate high-intensity appellate advocacy. The competition emphasises precision in legal reasoning, strategic argumentation, and effective courtroom presence through memorial drafting and in-person oral rounds.<\/p>\n

Set in a contemporary legal context, the moot proposition is structured to test participants on their ability to engage with complex factual narratives, procedural rigor, and constitutional sensibilities, encouraging a balance between doctrinal clarity and persuasive advocacy.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h2>\n

The competition is open to students enrolled in three-year LL.B. programmes, or five-year integrated LL.B. programmes at any recognised law college or university. Each participating institution may nominate only one team. Each team shall consist of three members, comprising of two Speakers, and one Researcher. Cross-institutional teams are not permitted.<\/p>\n

Registration Procedure<\/h2>\n

Teams must complete registration before 14th March, 2026<\/span> by submitting the official registration form and paying the registration fee of ₹3000 per team<\/span>, with an additional ₹1000 per team<\/span> for accommodation.
