Disability-Inclusive: Delhi Amends RTE Rules to Modify School Management Committees Structure"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On 4-2-2026, the Delhi Government notified the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Delhi Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Rules, 2025<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Rules came into effect on 6-2-2026.<\/p>\n<p>This Amendment modifies <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rule 3<\/span> of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Delhi Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011<\/span>, providing that:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>In <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">School Management Committee<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">75%<\/span> of the total strength will be of parents and guardians.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>In schools where &#8216;<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">children with specific disabilities&#8217;<\/span> are enrolled, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">at least one parent or guardian<\/span> of such a child will be required to be the member of the Committee.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The term &#8216;children with specific disabilities&#8217;
