Law Centre II (Umang Bhawan), Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, through its Debate and Discussion Society (DDS), is set to host the second edition of its Model United Nations Conference (MUN Conference 2.0) on 28th and 29th March 2026 at Umang Bhawan (Law Centre-ll) , University of Delhi.<\/p>\n

Building upon the success of its inaugural edition, the upcoming conference seeks to provide a more refined and intellectually rigorous platform for student delegates to engage with contemporary global and national policy challenges through structured debate, diplomacy, and consensus-building.<\/p>\n

About Law Centre II, University of Delhi<\/h3>\n

Established in 1971, Law Centre II is one of India’s leading legal institutions with a legacy of over five decades of academic excellence. Currently located at Umang Bhawan, Chhatra Marg, the Centre caters to nearly 3,000 students and is equipped with modern infrastructure and academic facilities. The institution places a strong emphasis on ethical legal education, critical inquiry, and research-orientation, supported by a distinguished faculty and alumni network, The Centre boasts of distinguished alumni network that includes esteemed academicians, accomplished researchers, prominent advocates, members of the judiciary, and senior bureaucrats.<\/p>\n

Debate and Discussion Society (DDS)<\/h3>\n

The Debate and Discussion Society, Law Centre II, functions as a dynamic forum for cultivating critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership among students. DDS has consistently organized national-level debates, seminars, academic conferences, and flagship initiatives such as the National Debate Competition, National Model United Nations Conference, and the Viksit Bharat Leadership Dialogue, fostering informed discourse on law, governance, and public policy.<\/p>\n

Model United Nations Conference 2.0<\/h3>\n

The second edition of the Law Centre II MUN aims to simulate international and national decision-making processes while equipping participants with essential skills in research, negotiation, articulation, and diplomacy. Rooted in the Faculty of Law’s academic ethos, the conference aspires to encourage meaningful dialogue on pressing issues affecting global peace, democratic institutions, and governance.<\/p>\n

The conference theme, “Where Diplomacy Meets Purpose,”<\/span> underscores its commitment to substantive deliberation and responsible leadership.<\/p>\n
