2nd<\/span> Day of 3rd<\/span> Edition of Mar Gregorios College of law Moot Court Competition, 2025-26 concluded. The competition commenced on 22 January 2026 in collaboration with Eastern Book Company as Skill Partner, SCC online as Knowledge partner and SSC Times as the Media Partner. This competition was held offline. A total number of 16 teams participated in the competition. The event included 4 rounds i.e. Preliminary rounds, Quarter finals, Semi-finals and Finals.<\/p>\n

THEME<\/span> — Honour Killing<\/p>\n

DAY 02: 23th JANUARY 2026<\/h2>\n

On 23 Jan 2026, the moot court proceedings will be conducted across Courtrooms one to eight, wherein Preliminary Round I, Preliminary Round II, and Quarterfinal rounds will be held. The sessions in all courtrooms were conducted in a disciplined manner, with active participation from the teams and effective supervision by the respective Judges.<\/p>\n

PRELIMINARY ROUNDS 1 | COURT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE<\/h3>\n

A total of 16 judges, with two judges allotted to each courtroom presided over proceedings across eight courtrooms. All the judges arrived at the venue by 8:30 am ensured the sessions commenced on time.<\/p>\n

09:03 a.m. — The Judges arrived at bench and the Court was formally constituted.<\/p>\n

09:03 a.m. — Proceedings commenced and the Petitioner opened arguments by presented the facts and framed the issues.<\/p>\n

09:37 a.m. — The Respondent began submissions, responded to the Petitioner’s contentions and addressed the legal issues involved.<\/p>\n

10:12 a.m. — Rebuttals: Petitioner addressed points raised by the respondent, clarified disputed facts, and reinforced key legal arguments.<\/p>\n

10:16 a.m. — Sur-rebuttals: Respondent responded briefly to the points raised in the rebuttal.<\/p>\n
