line-height: 150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On 20-1-2026, the Recruitment Cell of the Supreme Court notified the online application process for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">engaging Law Clerk-cum-Research Associates<\/span> on short-term contractual assignment in the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 2%;\">Registration open: 20-1-2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Last date: 7-2-2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Law Clerks-cum-Research Associates will be on short-term contractual assignment, with an initial remuneration of &#8377;1,00,000 per month for the 2026&#8212;2027 term.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Applications are invited for a panel of approximately 90 candidates under <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Scheme of Engaging Law Clerk-cum Research Associates on Short-Term Contractual Assignment in the Supreme Court of India-January, 2024<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Essential Qualifications:<\/h3>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p>Passed Law Graduate having a bachelor&#8217;s degree in law from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Final-year students (3-year \/ 5-year law courses) can apply, after producing proof of degree before joining<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Should possess strong analytical, research, and writing skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Knowledge of legal research tools: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">SCC Online<\/a>, e-SCR, Manupatra, LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Age should be 20-32 years as on 7-2-2026.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Selection Process<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Three-phase evaluation:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Part I:<\/span> MCQ Test (online)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Part II:<\/span> Subjective Written Test (pen-paper mode; questions on screen)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Part III:<\/span> Interview<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">All these processes will be as per scheme, while more details will be available on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sci.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\">Supreme Court&#8217;s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Test Centres<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Candidates are given an option to choose from <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">23 cities<\/span> for test centres and both MCQ and subjective test will we conducted on same dates.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the list of cities:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Ahmedabad, Ambala, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram &amp; Visakhapatnam.<\/p>\n<h3>Examination<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Date: 7-3-2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>MCQ: Online mode<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Subjective test: Questions will be available on screens while answers will be in paper-pen mode.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Model key answers will be updated on 8-3-2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Objections will be accepted till <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">9-3-2026 (11:59 PM)<\/span> at &#8377;100 per objection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Registrations and Payment of Fees<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Applications accepted online only via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sci.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.sci.gov.in\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Registration opens: 20-1-2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Last date to apply: 7-2-2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Application\/Test Fee: &#8377;750 plus bank charges<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Fee payment will be online only, through UCO Bank payment gateway<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Postal or offline applications will NOT be accepted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Instructions for Candidates:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Candidates will have to ensure that they meet all eligibility conditions. Any false information will lead to cancellation of candidature.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Issuance of Admit Card does not guarantee selection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Candidate should upload a recent photograph and signature as instructed. Applications will not be edited or withdrawn after submission.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter all details carefully, make the online fee payment, and save\/print the submitted application with the Application Number.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Retain the Application Number for download of admit card, interview updates, and all future communication via the official link.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Only the latest application submitted will be considered and the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">application fee is non-refundable.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: answer<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Any unfair means will lead to disqualification and may invite legal action.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Helpline numbers provided on the website may be used for technical or other queries.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>PwD candidates may avail a scribe (not a law graduate) with required certification and only the scribe is allowed inside the exam hall.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Law Clerks can be posted at any office\/registry\/chamber\/residential office based on administrative needs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Final engagement is subject to verification of certificates and completion of all required formalities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Registry can modify or cancel the selection process without notice, and jurisdiction lies in Delhi.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Candidates may be required to work on holidays or odd hours.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The candidates will not be provided Travelling Allowance or Daily Allowance for
