{"id":372061,"date":"2026-01-08T16:00:21","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T10:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=372061"},"modified":"2026-01-08T16:20:21","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T10:50:21","slug":"bci-announced-results-of-all-india-bar-examination-xx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2026\/01\/08\/bci-announced-results-of-all-india-bar-examination-xx\/","title":{"rendered":"AIBE-XX Results Declared: 69.21% Pass Rate, Next Exam on June 7, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">On 7-1-2026, the Bar Council of India (&#8216;BCI&#8217;) announced the results of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">All-India Bar Examination-XX<\/span> (&#8216;AIBE-XX&#8217;).<\/p>\n<h3>Key Highlights:<\/h3>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p>The AIBE-XX was conducted on <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">30-11-2025<\/span><a id=\"fnref1\" href=\"#fn1\" title=\"1. https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2025\/10\/29\/aibe-xx-2025-revised-schedule-registration-payment-correction\/\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> across 399 centers in 56 different cities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>It was conducted under the direct supervision of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Monitoring Committee<\/span> of the BCI, chaired by Hon&#8217;ble Ms. Justice Hima Kohli, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, including eminent legal scholars, Vice-Chancellors from leading law universities, and additional special invitees contributing to oversight and transparency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A total of 2,51,968 candidates appeared for the exam, marking significant participation from aspiring advocates nationwide.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The gender-wise distribution of candidates who appeared for the examination is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Male: 1,65,613<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Female: 86,336<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Transgender: 19<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The qualifying benchmark for candidates was set at:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">General\/OBC:<\/span> 43 marks (45% of 95 marks)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SC\/ST\/PwD:<\/span> 38 marks (40% of 95 marks)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>After the exam, the provisional answer key was reviewed following candidate objections. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Monitoring Committee<\/span> withdrew five incorrect questions and awarded full marks for two questions with multiple correct answers, finalizing the result on 95 marks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The results reveal that, in terms of category-wise performance:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Unreserved:<\/span> 90,111 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">OBC:<\/span> 53,513 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SC:<\/span> 25,290 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ST: 5,472 qualified.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Candidates enrolled with various <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">State Bar Councils<\/span> showed varied performance. For instance:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Bar Council of Delhi: 18,371 appeared, 14,431 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh: 32,611 appeared, 23,911 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bar Council of Maharashtra &amp; Goa: 20,331 appeared, 14,105 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bar Council of Rajasthan: 13,985 appeared, 8,014 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bar Council of West Bengal: 4,056 appeared, 2,997 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>High Court of Jammu &amp; Kashmir: 688 appeared, 582 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bar Council of Tamil Nadu &amp; Puducherry: 8,385 appeared, 7,252 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bar Council of Gujarat: 13,152 appeared, 6,008 qualified<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Additionally, 79,039 undertaking candidates appeared, of which 58,662 qualified, while 20,377 did not.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Overall, a total of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2,51,968 candidates<\/span> appeared for AIBE-XX, out of which <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">1,74,386 qualified<\/span> and 77,579 did not, resulting in a pass percentage of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">69.21%<\/span>, which reflects commendable performance across all categories.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>BCI has also announced the next <span
