2. About the Indian Society of Criminology (ISC)<\/h3>\n

The Indian Society of Criminology (ISC), founded in 1970, is one of India’s oldest and most respected professional bodies dedicated to the scientific study of crime, justice, and allied behavioural sciences. Conceived by leading thinkers such as Hon’ble Justice V. R. Krishna Iyer, Professor T. E. Shanmugam, and others, the Society was established with the vision of promoting criminology as an essential discipline for societal welfare and crime prevention.<\/p>\n

Today, ISC stands as a truly multidisciplinary network comprising criminologists, sociologists, psychologists, police and correctional professionals, judges, lawyers, forensic scientists, child protection specialists, probation officers, social workers, and other stakeholders committed to understanding and preventing crime.
