NICL is the Institute&#8217;s flagship international conference and is envisioned as a premier forum bringing together leading legal practitioners, academicians, industry experts, and emerging legal talent.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">NICL 2026<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Climate Change and Corporate Governance,&#8221;<\/span> is structured around the following <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">indicative thematic pillars<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Emerging Dimensions of Environmental Law and Climate Justice<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Evolving Frameworks of Corporate Law and Sustainable Business Practices<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Interdisciplinary Approaches to Law, Technology, and Society for a Sustainable Future<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Participants are requested to refer to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">conference brochure attached below<\/span> for a detailed description of the sub-themes.<\/p>\n<h3>Submission Guidelines<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Author(s) are required to submit an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">extended abstract of 1000&#8212;1500 words<\/span>, along with <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">five (5) keywords<\/span>. The shortlisted abstracts will be intimated to the author(s) accordingly. The word limit for the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">final manuscript\/ research paper<\/span>, exclusive of the abstract and footnotes, shall be <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">3500&#8212;4500 words<\/span>. The Organisers encourage <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">analytical and well-researched manuscripts<\/span> that provide logical and practical solutions to the issues highlighted. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">last date for submission of extended abstracts\/research papers is 20th January 2026<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Google form link: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/WLJTA53EPXBTQUuS7\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/WLJTA53EPXBTQUuS7<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Awards and Prizes<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Winner:<\/span> INR 15,000<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Runner-Up:<\/span> INR 12,000<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Second Runner-Up:<\/span> INR 8,000<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">In addition to the overall winners, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Best Paper Awards<\/span> will be conferred in each thematic category. Best paper presenters under each theme will receive an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Honourable Mention<\/span>, along with a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Merit Certificate and prizes<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Internship Opportunities<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Best research paper presenters<\/span>, including the prize winners, will be considered for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">internship opportunities with participating law firms and organisations<\/span>, aligned with the respective practice areas and themes of the conference.<\/p>\n<h3>Publication Opportunities<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Research papers presented at <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">NICL 2026<\/span> will be published in an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">edited book with an ISBN<\/span> by a reputed publisher. Selected papers will also be considered for publication in the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Corporate Research Law Journal (CRLJ)<\/span>, an annual peer-reviewed journal published by the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Centre for Corporate Law Studies (CCLS)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Presentation and Review Process<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">All extended abstracts, research papers, and PowerPoint presentations must be submitted <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">exclusively through the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSffhE1HxuuYFYyLkgQTzTieFgi1n6DObQVZyvYia0VoSb2Gcw\/viewform.\" target=\"_blank\">Google Form link<\/a><\/span>. All submissions will undergo a review process conducted by the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Academic Review Committee<\/span>, and selected participants will receive an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">official Selection Intimation via email<\/span>. Authors whose abstracts are selected will be invited to present their papers directly at the conference and may incorporate revisions to their abstracts prior to presentation. Participants are required to prepare a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">PowerPoint presentation (PPT)<\/span> based on their full paper and present it before the evaluation panel on the scheduled date.
