Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, is extending the deadlines for its Call for Papers for the Fifth Volume<\/span> of its annual publication, HPNLU LAW JOURNAL (HLJ) (ISSN: 2582-8533<\/span><\/span>). In this regard, submissions under different categories are invited from interested faculty members, research scholars, judges, professionals, and students. The volume is not restricted to any particular theme and submission of manuscripts with an interdisciplinary perspective on contemporary socio-legal issues, theories, and developments, awaiting scholarly treatment are encouraged. The last date for submission of manuscripts is February 15, 2026. The Publication Policy, Submission Guidelines, and prescribed Citation Style of the Law Review may be accessed here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. Lead or Special Articles – 10000-15000 words<\/p>\n

2. Articles – 6000-8000 words<\/p>\n

3. Case Comments – 4000-6000 words<\/p>\n

4. Notes including Legislative Comments – 4000-6000 words<\/p>\n

5. Book Reviews – 2000-4000 words<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Themes<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

There are no specific or particular theme(s) or topic(s) for the Volume. All submissions, whether relating to the legal developments directly or otherwise, are welcome.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Submission<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

All contributions have to be submitted in electronic form. The paper should be processed in MS Office and the following guidelines must be followed–<\/p>\n

1. Paragraphs should be double-spaced.<\/p>\n

2. Margin on the left and the right-hand side for the paragraphs should be one and a half inches.<\/p>\n

3. Font should be in type – Palatino Linotype and size – 11, throughout the paper.<\/p>\n

4. Footnotes should be in font size 10.<\/p>\n

5. Use of italics, bold font, and single inverted commas is suggested for the manuscript.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Acceptance and Communication<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

The decision on the acceptance of the paper for publication will be that of the Editorial Board, which shall be final. The communication shall be made electronically. The Editorial Board reserves the right of publication and a manuscript may be rejected from publication in the final stage(s).<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Author(s) must send a covering letter mentioning the title of the paper, name, designation, and details of the author(s) as well as institutional affiliation.
