Two activities previously under employment visas: <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">foreign nationals visiting India for installation and commissioning of equipment<\/span>, have now been moved to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">business visa regime<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>To further simplify processes, a new sub-category called <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Production Investment Visa (B-4 Visa)<\/span> was introduced under the business visa framework. This enables foreign specialists, engineers, and technical experts to participate in activities such as:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Installation and commissioning<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Quality checks and essential maintenance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Production operations<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>IT and ERP ramp-up<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Training programs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Supply chain development<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Plant design and setup<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Senior management visits<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The earlier <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">e-PLI business visa<\/span> was discontinued, and relevant amendments were made to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">to ensure visa application of<\/span> e-B4.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>This module allows <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Indian companies and LLPs<\/span> to instantly generate <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">sponsorship letters for inviting foreign professionals<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>DPIIT launched e-Production Investment Business (&#8216;e-B4 Visa&#8217;) on <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">29-11-2025, is<\/span> available to both PLI scheme participants and non-PLI businesses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Key features of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">e-B4 Visa<\/span> include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Auto-population of data and authentication via existing databases of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">MCA<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">GSTN<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>No requirement for line ministry approval.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Integration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/indianvisaonline.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">e-Visa portal<\/span><\/a> through API, ensuring a seamless process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Each sponsorship letter carries a unique ID, which foreign professionals will have to refer while applying for the
