The primary objective of the Journal is to serve as an important academic forum for legal scholarship. The Journal publishes scholarly articles, comments on recent judicial decisions, legislative analyses, and solicits reviews of recently published books from renowned connoisseurs of law. All submissions undergo a rigorous editorial process designed to refine and strengthen both tone and substance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Editorial Board welcomes unpublished, original articles, research papers, book reviews, and comments for its upcoming Volume X.<\/p>\n<h3>Categories for Submission<\/h3>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Research Papers and Articles:<\/p>\n<p>Word limit: 7000&#8212;8000 words, inclusive of footnotes and a short abstract (250&#8212;300 words) outlining the main questions or themes addressed. Submissions in this category are expected to engage comprehensively with the theme, examine the literature thoroughly, and offer an innovative reassessment of the existing understanding of the subject. While it is advisable to select a contemporary theme, it is not mandatory. Purely theoretical pieces are also welcome.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Case Comments:<\/p>\n<p>Word limit: 4000&#8212;5000 words, inclusive of footnotes. Submissions may involve analysis of contemporary Indian or international judicial pronouncements relevant to the theme. The comment must identify and examine the line of cases leading to the decision under discussion and analyse its implications for the development of that branch of law.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Book Review:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Word limit: 1500&#8212;2000 words. The reviewer should identify the key arguments presented by the author and provide a comprehensive analysis of the same.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Guidelines for Submission<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Submissions are open to teachers, academicians, professionals, judges, jurists, and researchers. Only one co-author is allowed, and a student may be the co-author.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Authors must strictly follow the <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Bluebook 20th Edition<\/span> citation style.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Headings must follow this format:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Headings:<\/span> ALL CAPITALS &amp; BOLD<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sub-headings:<\/span> First Letter Capitalised &amp; Bold<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Manuscripts should be in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing, justified text, and 1-inch margins on all sides of an A4 page. Page numbers must be centre-aligned at the bottom.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10, with 1.0 line spacing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Graphics, charts, tables, and diagrams should be numbered consecutively and included within the body of the text.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>For website references, complete URL and the last date of access must be provided.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Last date for submission of the soft copy in Word format: 31st January, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Submissions must be emailed to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"mailto:nlualpr@nluassam.ac.in\" target=\"_blank\">nlualpr@nluassam.ac.in<\/a><\/span> with the subject line: <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">&#8220;Submission for Volume X, Type of Submission (Article\/Case Comment\/Book Review\/Law and Policy Analysis)&#8221;<\/span> along with a covering letter addressed to the Chief Editor, NLUA Law &amp; Policy Review.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The covering letter must include the author&#8217;s contact details, designation, and institutional affiliation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Submissions must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>All submissions will be scrutinized by the Review Committee, and shortlisted contributors will be duly informed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>All submissions must comply with UGC anti-plagiarism requirements &#8212; maximum 10% similarity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Mere submission does not guarantee publication.
