Supreme Court:<\/span> While considering an application concerning representation of women members within State Bar Associations, the Division Bench of Surya Kant, CJI and Joymalya Bagchi, J., clarified its order dated 9-5-2025 and directed that 30% representation to be ensured for the women members within the Bar Associations shall apply to all the Bar Associations<\/span> in the State of Gujarat.<\/p>\n

It was directed that no distinction shall be made merely on account of nomenclature<\/span> of a Bar Association.<\/p>\n

On 9-5-2025, the Supreme Court directed that 30% posts of Executive Members along with that of ‘Treasurer’<\/span> of Gujarat High Court Bar Associations as well as all the District Bar Associations shall be exclusively earmarked\/reserved for women advocates.<\/p>\n

With the latest order, the Court has clarified that the afore-stated direction will apply for all Bar Associations of State of Gujarat.<\/p>\n
