This Amendment aims in broadening the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">scope of a small company under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002766251\" target=\"_blank\">Companies Act, 2013<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This Amendment came into force on 1-12-2025.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Highlights:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>The Amendment Rule modifies Rule 2(1)(t) of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002788569\" target=\"_blank\">Companies (Specification of Definition Details) Rules, 2014<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Under the revised provisions, the threshold limit for small companies is raised:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#9675; <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Paid-up Capital<\/span>: Not exceeding <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8377;10 crores<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">&#9675; <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Turnover<\/span>: Not exceeding <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8377;100 crores<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>This revision widens the coverage of small companies, bringing more entities under the definition.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>By raising the thresholds, the government has ensured that more enterprises benefit from simplified compliance and reduced burdens.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Expansion of threshold limit for small
