1. ABOUT THE ORGANISATION<\/h3>\n

The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), established by the Government of Tamil Nadu under Act No. 43 of 1997, was inaugurated by President Shri K.R. Narayanan on September 20, 1997, and began functioning on October 3, 1997. Recognised by the Bar Council of India and the UGC (Sec. 2f & 12b), and a member of AIU, ACU (U.K.), and IIPA, it is India’s first sui generis law university and a nodal agency for legal education in Tamil Nadu. The University functions through its main campus and 27 affiliated colleges. Its School of Excellence in Law, established in 2002, offers three-year and five-year law programmes, while its postgraduate and research centres provide LL.M., Ph.D., and LL.D. programmes across various specialisations.<\/p>\n

2. ABOUT THE CONFERENCE<\/h3>\n

The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law, is hosting a one-day International Conference on “Human Rights 2.0: Contemporary Challenges in the Digital Regime” on 30 January 2026 in Hybrid Mode. Organised by the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Programme and the Department of Human Rights, the conference brings together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students to discuss emerging digital-age human rights issues and develop practical, research-based recommendations for law, policy, and institutional reform.<\/p>\n

3. ABOUT CALL FOR PAPERS<\/h3>\n

The conference invites contributions that examine how law and institutions must adapt to preserve human dignity in contexts such as algorithmic decision-making, platform governance, surveillance, digital labour, and synthetic media.<\/p>\n

4. THEME<\/h3>\n

The primary theme is Human Rights 2.0: Contemporary Challenges in Digital Regime<\/span>.<\/p>\n
