The 15th<\/span> Edition of Checkmate National Moot Court Competition was organized from 6th<\/span> to 8th<\/span> November, 2025 at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali. The competition began with the registration of teams on 6th<\/span> November, 2025. 16 teams qualified for the Octa Final Rounds on the basis of memorial submission. Top 8 teams qualified for the Quarter Final Rounds out of which 4 teams advanced to the knock-out Semi-Final Round, which took place on 7th<\/span> November, 2025.Teams fought the ultimate battle in various courtrooms in front of esteemed judges. The Final Round was conducted on 8th<\/span> November, 2025 and the competing teams were TC-16 (University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University) and TC-06 (NMIMS, Chandigarh). The Final Round was adjudged by the estemmed bench comprising of Mr. Mansoor Ali, Mr. Gautam Dutt and, Ms. Tanu Bedi, Advocates from Punjab and Haryana High Court. Honourable Justice Gurvinder Singh Gill of Punjab and Haryana High Court had graced the valedictory session with his presence and gave away the awards to the winners. The total prize money worth Rs. 1, 32,000 was awarded.<\/p>\n

The details of the achievers are as follows:<\/p>\n

    Winners – University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh got the cash prize of Rs 42,000, trophy and certificates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Runners up – NMIMS, Chandigarh got a cash prize of Rs 33,000 and certificates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Third Semi-Finalists – RMNLU, Lucknow got a cash prize of Rs 9,000 and certificates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Fourth Semi-Finalists – RGNUL, Patiala got a cash prize of Rs 6,000 and certificates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Best Memorial – Lloyd Law College, Noida received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and certificates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    2nd<\/span> Best Memorial – NMIMS Chandigarh received a cash prize of Rs 9,000 and certificates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    Best Speaker – Anadi Keshari, NLU Bhopal got a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a certificate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
