The GSLR is an annual, student-edited, double-blind peer reviewed publication with regular collaboration with experts and practitioners in order to foster insightful legal discourse on contemporary legal developments and innovative legal solutions. Following the successful publication of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gnluslr.com\/_files\/ugd\/294a37_e8ab075b1c0545c1b4544be2b4d67bdc.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Volume VI<\/span><\/a>, the GSLR invites submissions of original and unpublished manuscripts addressing contemporary legal topics for its Volume VII.<\/p>\n<h3>Call for Papers<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The GSLR welcomes submissions of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">articles<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">book reviews<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">case notes<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">legislative comments<\/span> offering comparative perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches to India&#8217;s evolving legal landscape. Submissions are welcomed from students, academicians, legal scholars and practitioners. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">last date<\/span> for contributing to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Volume VII<\/span> of the GSLR is <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Thursday, 25 December 2025<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Submission Categories<\/h3>\n<p>Submissions are welcome in all fields of law from students, academicians, legal scholars and practitioners. The following categories of submissions will be considered for publication:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Article<\/span>: Word limit between <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">4500-8000<\/span> words. The authors should comprehensively engage with the foundation of the chosen topic, aiming to underline its relevance for present times through legal policy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Book Review<\/span>: Word limit between <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">4500-8000<\/span> words. Authors must extensively engage with the foundation of the chosen subject while aiming to underline the book&#8217;s relevance to modern legal policy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Case Note<\/span>: Word limit between <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2500-4500<\/span> words. A case note would analyse recent judgment or landmark decision of Indian courts, informing on the background of the matter and substantive implications for future adjudication.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Legislative Comment<\/span>: Word limit between <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2000-4000<\/span> words. A legislative comment would examine legislation or bills before the Parliament or any State Legislature, facilitating a cross-jurisdictional comparative analysis and suggesting improvements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Word limits, as provided above, are <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">exclusive<\/span> of footnotes. <span style=\"color: #333333;\">GSLR aims to strictly enforce the above word limits with an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">extension of maximum 500 words<\/span> permissible, if it is justified with the quality of the submission.<\/p>\n<h3>Submission Guidelines<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Authorship<\/span>: Co-authorship is permissible up to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">three co-authors<\/span> for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Articles<\/span>. In case of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">other submission categories<\/span>, a maximum of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">two co-authors<\/span> is permitted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Originality<\/span>: The GSLR requires <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">exclusive submission<\/span>. Authors must confirm through the submission form that the submitted manuscript has not been submitted for the consideration of another journal. Authors must undertake not to send the manuscript for consideration elsewhere until the GSLR has either accepted or rejected the submission.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Editorial Policy<\/span>: All submissions to the GSLR must be original and should not contain any plagiarised content. Please ensure that every source is properly referenced, and all contributors are cited. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ugc.gov.in\/pdfnews\/7771545_academic-integrity-Regulation2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">University Grants Commission (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations 2018<\/span><\/a>, would be applicable in regards to the acceptable limits of plagiarism. All decisions of the Editorial Board would be final and may not be subject to further review. We expect authors to make suitable changes as suggested by the Editorial Board before final acceptance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">AI Policy<\/span>: The GSLR follows a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">strict AI policy<\/span>. Authors may <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">not use<\/span> any type of AI for the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">generation of any substantive content or citations<\/span>. However, AI is permissible to the limited extent of paper proof-reading and basic sentence re-structuring.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Manuscript Structuring<\/span>: The submission must mandatorily contain an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">abstract of 200-250 words<\/span> along with <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">4-5 keywords<\/span>. The other essential components of the manuscript include an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Introduction<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Main Body<\/span> containing the primary arguments, and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Conclusion<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">Manuscript Submission<\/span>: The GSLR <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">only<\/span> accepts <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">electronic submissions<\/span> through the submission portal. The manuscript must be in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">.doc<\/span> or <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">.docx<\/span> format. The submission must be <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">anonymous<\/span> should not contain the name of the author, institutional affiliation, or any other identification mark. Submissions are to be made only through this <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Google Form<\/span>:<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/kjVbqPDk1Frs42W58\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/kjVbqPDk1Frs42W58<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Formatting Guidelines<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>The authors must strictly adhere to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gnluslr.com\/_files\/ugd\/294a37_068b9523a87f40e4bd62631e8b4575f8.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">GSLR Style Guide<\/span><\/a> to facilitate a faster turnaround.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">main text<\/span> of the submission must be in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Garamond<\/span> with <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">font size 12<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">line spacing 1.5 pts<\/span>. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">citations<\/span> must be in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Garamond<\/span> with <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">font size 10<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">single line spacing<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">footnotes<\/span> must be formatted in accordance with <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">The Bluebook<\/span> citation style (<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">21<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">st<\/span> edition<\/span>). Speaking and substantive footnotes are encouraged subject to proper justification for their use. The submission must not have any endnotes, bibliography or references.
