About CHRIST University<\/h3>\n

CHRIST (Deemed to be University), a premier educational institution, is an academic fraternity of individuals dedicated to the motto of Excellence and Service. The University is a nurturing ground for individual holistic development to effectively contribute to society in a dynamic environment.<\/p>\n

It was established as a college in July 1969 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), founded by Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. It was conferred the Deemed University Status in 2008 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.<\/p>\n

CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has five campuses, three in Bengaluru and one in Pune and Delhi NCR (off campuses). Ranked as one of India’s top and reputed multi-disciplinary universities, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bangalore has been placed between 801-1000 globally in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2025.<\/p>\n

As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) stands at the 96th position amongst top universities all over India. The School of Law has secured the 24th position in the Law category, retaining itself in the top 30s. According to QS Rankings, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) ranks in the 601-650 band amongst top Asian universities.<\/p>\n

About the School of Law<\/h3>\n

School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus, commenced its journey in 2019. It already has a proven history of success in the field of education. The School of Law offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programs in Law as per the guidelines of the Bar Council of India and the University Grants Commission.<\/p>\n

It has a flexible curriculum offering several options in different areas of specialisation, and the same is designed with the requirements of the legal profession and academia kept in mind. The academic programmes offered at School of Law incorporate special opportunities such as Internships, Legal Aid, Moot Court, Trial Advocacy, Client Counselling, Value-added Courses, Skill Enhancement Workshops and Career-Oriented Training with outcome-based legal education.<\/p>\n

Students are provided opportunities to interact with members from the legal profession regularly, and the pedagogy of School of Law caters to the needs of students to be career-ready.<\/p>\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/h3>\n

The competition is open for students who are pursuing LLB three\/five-year courses during the current academic year. Each team should consist of three members. However, a two-member team may be allowed to participate at the discretion of the organizers.<\/p>\n

There shall be two speakers and one researcher designated for each team. The researcher shall be allowed to argue with the prior permission of the court and the organizers in case of illness of the designated speakers.<\/p>\n

Venue<\/h3>\n

The Preliminary rounds of the 6th Christ Vijay Sondhi Memorial Moot Court Competition shall be conducted online on February 2 and 3, 2026.<\/p>\n

The Advanced rounds of the Competition shall be held in an offline mode at CHRIST (Deemed to Be University), Delhi NCR Campus on February 13 and 14, 2026.<\/p>\n

Registration Process<\/h3>\n

To successfully register for the 6th Christ Vijay Sondhi Memorial Moot Court Competition 2026, please follow the steps outlined below:<\/p>\n

Step 1: Payment of Registration Fee<\/p>\n

    Complete the payment of the registration fee as per the details below:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Registration Fee:<\/p>\n

    For participating in Preliminary rounds I and II: Rs. 2000\/-<\/p>\n

    For teams qualifying for the advanced rounds, an additional registration fee shall have to be paid:<\/p>\n

    With accommodation: Rs. 3000\/- Without accommodation: Rs. 2000\/-<\/p>\n

    Steps to make the payment: Click on the link; scroll down to find the payment portal; select CHRIST (Deemed to be University); next select<\/p>\n

    FEST\/CONFERENCE\/WORKSHOP\/EVENT: next select 6th Christ Vijay Sondhi Memorial Moot Court Competition.<\/p>\n

    Upon successful payment, save the receipt or transaction confirmation as a PDF or screenshot. This will be required for Step 2.<\/p>\n

    Step 2: Filling Out the Registration Form<\/p>\n

      Team Information: Names, contact details, and roles (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, Researcher) of team members.<\/p>\n

      Payment Details: Upload the receipt or transaction confirmation from Step 1.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Submit the form once all details are filled in and verified.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Awards<\/h3>\n

      Winner:<\/span> Rs. 60,000 + trophies + One year subscription to SCC Online<\/p>\n

      Runner Up:<\/span> Rs. 40,000 + trophies<\/p>\n

      Best Researcher<\/span>: Rs. 15,000 + trophy<\/p>\n

      Best Speaker:<\/span> Rs. 15,000\/- + trophy<\/p>\n

      Best Memorial<\/span>: Rs. 15,000\/- + trophy<\/p>\n
