About the College<\/h3>\n

Mar Gregorios College of Law, established in 2012 amid the serene surroundings of Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, is an institution dedicated to excellence in legal education. Though young, it proudly continues the legacy of the campus founded in 1949 by Archbishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios. Named after Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios, a visionary humanist, economist and educationalist, the college reflects his values of knowledge, compassion and service.<\/p>\n

As Kerala’s first NAAC accredited law college, MGCL has grown into a center of academic distinction and innovation. It offers five-year integrated B.A., B.B.A., and B.Com LL.B. programs, along with a specialized LL.M. in Constitutional and Maritime Law. Honoured with national awards like the SILF-MILAT Institutional Excellence Award, the college strives to shape competent, ethical and socially responsible legal professionals. Every law student dreams of a stage where their voice, logic, and conviction truly matter and that’s exactly what the Mar Gregorios Moot Court Competition (MGMCC) at Mar Gregorios College of Law, Thiruvananthapuram offers. What began just two editions ago has already grown into one of the most anticipated events in the college calendar, drawing brilliant minds from leading law schools across the country. It’s not just about arguing a case; it’s about thinking deeply, writing persuasively, and standing up with confidence before some of the finest judges and advocates in the field.<\/p>\n

From intense preliminary rounds to the nerve-wracking finals, MGMCC is a journey one that tests intellect, teamwork, and presence of mind. More than a competition, it’s an experience that shapes young legal minds to speak with clarity, argue with integrity, and carry forward the true spirit of advocacy.<\/p>\n

Team Composition and Eligibility<\/h3>\n

1. Students pursuing the three or five-year courses of the LL.B. degree or its equivalent in the academic year 2025-26 from the Bar Council of India-recognized Law school\/college\/University in India are eligible to participate.<\/p>\n

2. Each college shall send only one (1) team comprising of eligible participants.<\/p>\n

3. Each team shall comprise a minimum of two and a maximum of three members. In a team of two members, both members shall be designated as Speakers. In a team of three members, two members shall be designated as Speakers and the third member of the team shall be designated as a Researcher.<\/p>\n

4. No additional member or team coach is allowed to accompany the team.<\/p>\n

Registration<\/h3>\n

Registration can be done in two phases —<\/p>\n

(i) Preliminary registration<\/p>\n

(ii) Final registration<\/p>\n

(i) The Preliminary Registration shall be completed on or before November 15, 2025, using the Google Form provided: <\/span>https:\/\/forms.gle\/v.JPHb8c<\/span>\u00c7\u00aa<\/span>PiEcDdEC6<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

(ii) Final registration shall be completed only by the selected teams based on memorial selection. Google form link will be mailed to the qualified teams.<\/p>\n

Important Dates<\/h3>\n

· Brochure and proposition release, registration open: 30th<\/span> October, 2025<\/p>\n

· Preliminary registration, registration closes: 15th<\/span> November, 2025<\/p>\n

· Last date for clarifications: 25th<\/span> November, 2025<\/p>\n

· Submission of soft and hard copy: 20th<\/span> December, 2025<\/p>\n

· Payment: 30th<\/span> December, 2025<\/p>\n

· Competition: 22nd<\/span>-24th<\/span> January, 2026<\/p>\n

Registration fees<\/h3>\n

A. Preliminary Registration<\/p>\n

Teams shall pay an amount of INR 1500 for the Preliminary Registration. The receipt of the same is required to complete the registration through Google Form. Teams shall pay the amount towards the registration fee through the following link: https:\/\/feebook.southindianbank.com\/FeeBookUser\/org?id-295<\/a><\/p>\n

The following particulars, among others, are required for the Preliminary Registration:<\/p>\n

(a) Details of the Participating Institution<\/p>\n

(b) Details of the Team members<\/p>\n

(c) Receipt of Payment<\/p>\n

Upon Preliminary Registration, each team shall be given a Team Code, which shall thereafter be used throughout the competition.<\/p>\n

B. Final Registration<\/p>\n

The selected teams shall pay an amount of INR 3000 for the Final Registration. The receipt of the same is required to complete the registration through the Google Form, which shall be intimated to the qualifying teams via email.<\/p>\n

Prizes<\/h3>\n

The teams shall be awarded trophies, cash prizes and certification in recognition of their outstanding performance.<\/p>\n
