The Journal aims to promote scholarly research works in the field of tax laws, including international taxation and tax policies. The HPNLU <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Journal of Tax Law <\/span>is one of the first of its kind in India, wherein specific discussion, through research works, is being encouraged by academicians, professionals, practitioners, and researchers. Tax laws and policies are an urgent discourse in today&#8217;s time frame, where the discussions on tax reforms are ubiquitous and have effects on the lives of every individual. The Journal aims to provide a forum wherein the intellectual discourse is produced with respect to tax laws, policies, and their impact on every individual, along with the state welfare policies. These intellectual contributions are called upon to siphon the efforts and to propel better tax policies in India.<\/p>\n<h3>ABOUT CALL FOR PAPERS<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The HPNLU Journal of Tax Law invites scholarly contributions from academicians, scholars, professionals, and policymakers for its <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Fourth Volume<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">(2025)<\/span>, scheduled to be published (online) by month of December 2025. The journal solicits scholarly contributions relating to legal cum theoretical developments in the field of Taxation laws and policies. Selection of entries shall be based on a double-blind peer review.<\/p>\n<h3>CATEGORIES FOR SUBMISSION<\/h3>\n<p>Contribution may be made in the form of Articles, Notes and comments, and Book Reviews. The following word limits should be observed:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ARTICLES<\/span> (\u22656000 to &lt;10000 words)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ESSAYS &amp; COMMENTS<\/span> (\u22654000 to&lt;6000 words)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">BOOK REVIEW <\/span>(\u22653000 to &lt;4000words) (Contribution under this Category is required to be made along with the new hard copy of the Book.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Submissions shall be accepted only in the English language.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>All contributions are required to be accompanied by an &#8216;abstract&#8217; of 250-300 words. The abstract must expressly include the novelty and usefulness of the idea that the author wishes to put forth and must categorically mention the specific contribution of the article beyond the existing available literature.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Co-authorship is allowed up to one (01) co-author only.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The manuscript should not contain any references to the identity of the authors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 12, and 1.5-line spacing. The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 10, with single line spacing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>For Citation, refer to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">HPNLU-Shimla Citation Style <\/span>only. No other method shall be permitted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lengthy Quotations are discouraged. Authors should avoid long quotations and keep them to a minimum wherever necessary, with full and proper acknowledgement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lengthy and multi-paragraphed footnotes are discouraged. The citations must mention the page(s) of the source, and in cases where Court Judgments are referred to, the footnote should also mention the paragraph of the judgment in addition to the page number of the Reporter.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Only authoritative websites may be cited. References to internet sources such as Wikipedia, blogs, commercial websites, etc., are not acceptable.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Manuscripts having more than 10% similarity will be rejected.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>COVERING LETTER<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Author(s) are required to send a cover letter mentioning the title of the paper, name, designation, and details of the author(s) and institutional affiliation. Further, the author(s) are required to make a solemn declaration about the originality of the manuscript and that the same has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Paraphrasing another author&#8217;s work shall not be considered as original work. The source must be acknowledged.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>COPYRIGHT<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>The copyright in all articles, published in the volume, shall vest in the owner of the Journal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Contributor has to cover the risk of being sued for copyright infringements, including defamation or contempt, and shall be liable to suffer the losses if caused by violating copyright.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>HOW TO SUBMIT?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Send your manuscript in MS Word (.docx) format to <a href=\"mailto:jtl@hpnlu.ac.in\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous;\">jtl@hpnlu.ac.in<\/span><\/a>.
