Jhajjar owns a 1320 MW coal based thermal power plant with flue gas desulphurisation unit situated at Jhajjar, Haryana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Jindal emerged as the successful bidder in a competitive bid process initiated by Apraava Energy Private Limited (&#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">AEPL<\/span>&#8221;), for the acquisition of 100% of the shareholding in Jhajjar. Thereafter, JJPL entered into a share purchase agreement, for acquisition of 100% of equity shares and compulsorily convertible preference shares of Jhajjar from AEPL, Apraava Renewable Energy Private Limited, and Kohima Mariani Transmission Limited (&#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Proposed Transaction<\/span>&#8221;). AEPL is jointly held by the CLP Group and CDPQ.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This is one of India&#8217;s largest recent thermal power deals.
