The Election Commission of India (‘ECI’) has initiated a Special Intensive Revision (SIR)<\/span> of electoral rolls in 12 States and Union Territories<\/span>. This step aims to update the electoral rolls, ensuring inclusion of eligible citizens and removal of ineligible entries.<\/p>\n

    The qualifying date<\/span> for inclusion in the electoral roll is 1-1-2026<\/span>. Any citizen who turns 18 years old on or before this date<\/span> is eligible to be enrolled.<\/p>\n
