Ministry, under the leadership of Shri Rajnath Singh&nbsp;approved a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">100% increase in financial assistance<\/span> for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Ex-Servicemen (ESM)<\/span> and their dependents under welfare schemes implemented by the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare<\/span> through the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Kendriya Sainik Board<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Enhancement announced:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Penury Grant: <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Increased from &#8377;4,000 to &#8377;8,000\/month<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For aged, non-pensioner ESM and widows above 65 years with no regular income.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Education Grant: <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Raised from &#8377;1,000 to &#8377;2,000\/month per child<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Applicable for up to two dependent children (Class I to Graduation) or widows pursuing a two-year postgraduate course.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Marriage Grant: <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Doubled from &#8377;50,000 to &#8377;1,00,000<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Applicable for up to two daughters of ESM and for widow remarriage, for marriages solemnised after the issuance of this order.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The revised financial assistance will be applicable to all eligible applications submitted on or after 1-11-2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This enhancement carries an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">annual financial implication of approximately &#8377;257 crore<\/span>, which will be met through the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Raksha Mantri Ex-Servicemen Welfare Fund<\/span>, a dedicated subset of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (&#8216;AFFDF&#8217;)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This funding mechanism ensures sustained support for the welfare of Ex-Servicemen and their dependents, reinforcing the government&#8217;s commitment to honoring their service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">By strengthening the social security net, this revised financial aid is poised to benefit <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">thousands of non-pensioner ESM, widows, and dependent children<\/span> across the country,
