The University’s Centre for Information Communication Technology and Law (CICTL) is launching the edited volume of the book ‘Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: Technology, Crime and Justice’<\/span> to be published by the Central Academy for Police Training, Bhopal, BPR&D, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Volume Editors include Mr. Anil Kishore Yadav (Director, Central Academy for Police Training, Bhopal, BPR&D, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India), Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey (Vice Chancellor, MNLU Mumbai) and Ms. Aastha Tiwari (Assistant Professor of Law, MNLU Mumbai).<\/p>\n

With the introduction of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023<\/a>, India has entered a crucial phase of criminal law reform. A major feature of this transition is the recognition of technology-related crimes.<\/p>\n

This edited volume, the second in our trilogy on the new criminal laws, seeks to provide practical insights into the application of BNS provisions on technology-related crimes, case studies, and illustrations highlighting investigation challenges and judicial responses, and suggestive Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for law enforcement, police, and forensic experts to address digital crimes effectively. In doing so, comparative perspectives with international practices to identify gaps and adopt best practices will also help. The book is designed as a one-stop guide for law enforcement officers, prosecutors, judges, forensic experts, researchers, and students. It will bridge doctrinal understanding with practical tools, offering both conceptual clarity and practical guidance.<\/p>\n

Your perspectives will play a vital role in shaping how India sails through the challenges of technology-driven crimes under the new criminal law framework and in strengthening the justice delivery system in the digital era.<\/p>\n
