The Centre for Information Communication Technology and Law (CICTL), a flagship Centre at MNLU Mumbai, has been at the forefront of facilitating dialogue at the intersection of law, technology, and policy. The Centre regularly conducts a diverse range of academic and policy-oriented programs, including workshops, symposiums, colloquiums, and stakeholder consultations. The Centre’s recent initiatives, including the National Symposium on Artificial Intelligence, Data Privacy and Intellectual Property Rights, and the Colloquium on Fintech and the Metaverse, are just a few examples of CICTL’s efforts to engage in the techno-legal domain. About CICTL’s Blog on Technology Law (CBTL)<\/h3>\n

The CICTL Blog on Technology Law (CBTL)<\/span> is a peer-reviewed platform designed to publish original, analytical and well-researched contributions. The CBTL is designed to act as a platform for expression of authors’ opinions on various aspects of law and technology providing in-depth coverage of major developments in technology law, including analyses of landmark judgments, legislative changes, regulatory developments, and new issues arising in the field of Technology Law.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h3>\n

Contributions are invited from:<\/p>\n

    Students and PHD Scholars<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Independent researchers and academicians<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Legal practitioners and Judges.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Theme<\/h3>\n

    The theme shall be related to Data Protection, Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, Cybersecurity, and Digital Governance or any theme relevant<\/span> to the Technology Laws.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Submission Guidelines<\/h3>\n

    1. Word Limit<\/p>\n

    Submissions should ideally not exceed 1,500 words (excluding endnotes). However, the Editorial Board may exercise discretion in permitting longer entries. Moreover, the Editorial Board, at their discretion, may allow the blog to be published in two parts.<\/p>\n

    2. Formatting guidelines<\/p>\n

    Entries must be submitted in MS Word (.doc\/.docx)<\/span> format.<\/p>\n

    The main body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman<\/span>, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Footnotes, if any, should be in size 10 with single spacing.<\/p>\n

    3. Citations<\/p>\n

    Given the semi-formal nature of the blog, authors are encouraged to use hyperlinks<\/span> for references wherever appropriate, especially for recent amendments and less-discussed laws. Where citations are indispensable, they must be provided as endnotes, following the Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA, 4th edition)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

    4. Plagiarism & Originality<\/p>\n

    All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Any work reflecting over 15% similarity<\/span> will be rejected outright. Instances of plagiarism or violations of originality will result in immediate disqualification. The use of AI will lead to the rejection of the manuscript.<\/p>\n

    5. Anonymity<\/p>\n

    Manuscripts must not contain the author’s name, institutional affiliation, contact details, or any other information that could reveal their identity.<\/p>\n

    6. Co-Authorship<\/p>\n

    A maximum of two authors<\/span> may jointly contribute to a single submission.<\/p>\n

    7. Copyright & Responsibility<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    By submitting, authors confirm that their work does not infringe third-party rights. Authors shall be solely responsible for any legal issues arising from their contributions.<\/p>\n

    Deadline<\/h3>\n

    Submissions to the CBTL are accepted on a rolling basis.<\/p>\n
