The National Law Institute University is one of the top law schools in the field of legal education. NLIU is known for its impeccable administration of legal competitions across various law schools.<\/p>\n

About the 7th<\/span> NLIU—Singhania & Partners National Client Counselling Competition, 2025<\/h3>\n

The NLIU-MCA is delighted to present the seventh edition<\/span> of the NLIU—Singhania & Partners National Client Counselling Competition, scheduled to take place in person from 3rd<\/span> to 5th<\/span> October, 2025. Renowned as one of the most prestigious client counselling competitions in India, it has consistently drawn participation from leading universities across the country, establishing itself as a highly anticipated event in the legal calendar.<\/p>\n

The MCA, with every successive edition of this renowned competition, hopes to provide every participant with an enriched experience and a platform to express their zeal and rigour in respect to the legal sphere.<\/p>\n

The Competition and its Partners<\/h3>\n

The competition is organised annually in partnership with Singhania & Partners LLP as the joint organiser and official institutional partner of the competition. With a pan-India presence, Singhania & Partners LLP is one of the most prestigious law firms in the country and is renowned for its expertise in various areas of the law. The firm’s philosophy of keeping the client’s interest at the forefront has made it one of the most trusted law firms in the country. As the competition is structured to enable participants to understand client concerns and provide legal solutions, the partnership with Singhania & Partners LLP will immensely contribute to the successful organisation of the competition.<\/p>\n

Being one of the most prestigious client counselling competitions organised in the country, the final rounds of the sixth edition were judged by an illustrious panel comprising Justice Vivek Agarwal (Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh<\/span>), Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vishal Dhagat (Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh<\/span>) and Mr. Ravi Singhania (Managing Partner, Singhania & Partners LLP<\/span>). The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of Justice J.K. Maheshwari (Judge, Supreme Court of India<\/span>) and Justice (Retd.) Suresh Kumar Kait (Former Chief Justice, High Court of Madhya Pradesh<\/span>).<\/p>\n

Format of the Competition<\/h3>\n

On behalf of NLIU, Bhopal, we would like to invite esteemed institutions to participate in this enriching experience. The competition shall be organised in a physical<\/span> mode. We have a maximum cap of 20 teams. The teams shall be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that a maximum of two teams are allowed per institution, subject to the prior approval of the organisers via email. The Registration Fee for the competition is INR 10,000\/-<\/span> for a 2-member team. Both the team members shall participate as counsels in the competition.<\/p>\n

Important Dates<\/h3>\n

Last Date for Provisional Registration: 18th<\/span> September, 2025<\/p>\n

Last Date for Final Registration: 26th<\/span> September, 2025<\/p>\n

Release of the Team Codes and Pools: 28th<\/span> September, 2025<\/p>\n

Physical Oral Rounds: 3rd<\/span> to 5th<\/span> October, 2025<\/p>\n

Venue<\/h3>\n

The competition will be organised in a physical mode at the NLIU Campus in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n

Registration Procedure<\/h3>\n

The institutions can register themselves for the Competition, provisionally through their designated Moot Court Association by filling the Google Form<\/a> attached.<\/p>\n

Each institution may register up to two teams, subject to the availability of slots after provisional registration. In order to register a second team, the institution must write to us in advance and obtain prior permission.<\/p>\n
