Supreme Court:<\/span> While considering a writ petition highlighting widespread irregularities and lapses in conduct of SSC exams including SSC Selection Post\/Phase XIII Examination and the Stenographer Examination Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2025<\/span>, the Division Bench of P.S. Narasimha and Atul S. Chandurkar, JJ., issued notice in the matter.<\/p>\n

In his plea, the petitioner had alleged that Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd. took over the responsibility of conducting the exams after the Staff Selection Commission suddenly shifted the contract to Eduquity from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The petitioner alleged that since Eduquity started conducting the SSC exams, widespread lapses were reported in multiple phases of recruitment exams including the afore-stated Exams. It was stated that Eduquity’s past record has been marred by complaints and allegations of mismanagement<\/p>\n

Aggrieved with the irregularities, the petitioner knocked the doors of the Supreme Court via the present petition filed in public interest pointing out the grievances faced by the aspirants who appear for the SSC exams.<\/p>\n

The petition thus sought constitution of a Court appointed Committee to oversee future SSC examinations, including the forthcoming CGL 2025 exam<\/span> and cancellation and re-conduct of the tainted exams held through Eduquity. It further sought an independent enquiry into the award of tender, formulation of binding SOPs and compensation to affected candidates for the losses and hardship suffered.<\/p>\n

Counsel for the petitioner further submitted that in 2018, a High-Powered Committee chaired by former Judge, Justice G.S. Singhvi was constituted to investigate the irregularities in SSC CGL\/CHSL 2017 examinations and recommend safeguards for future exams. It was submitted that the Committee’s report has never been made public.<\/p>\n

Perusing the facts and the petitioner’s prayer, the Supreme Court therefore deemed it fit to issue notice in the matter.<\/p>\n
