On 4-9-2025, the President of India in exercise of powers under Article 217 of the Constitution, appointed Justice Shree Chandrashekhar<\/span> as the next Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.<\/p>\n

Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, who was functioning as the High Court’s Acting Chief Justice, will succeed Justice Alok Aradhe, who was elevated as Judge of Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

On 25-8-2025, the Supreme Court Collegium headed by CJI B.R. Gavai, recommended<\/a> the name of Justice Shree Chandrashekhar as the Chief Justice of Bombay High Court.<\/p>\n

Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, whose parent High Court is Jharkhand, was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi on 17-01-2013 and, as Permanent Judge on 27-06-2014. He was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand with effect from 29-12-2023. Thereafter he was transferred to Rajasthan High Court and then to Bombay High Court in July 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
