On 18-8-2025, the President of India in exercise of powers under Article 224 (1)<\/a> of the Constitution<\/a>, appointed Judicial Officer Ramesh Kumari, as Additional Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court from the date she assumes charge of her office till 09-06-2027 i.e. the date of her superannuation on attaining the age of 62 years.<\/p>\n

On 7-8-2025, the Supreme Court Collegium led by CJI B.R. Gavai, recommended the appointment<\/a> of Ramesh Kumari, Judicial Officer, as a Judge of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana.<\/p>\n

At present, Punjab and Haryana High Court, whose sanctioned strength of Judges is 85, has a vacancy of 36 Judges. Current working strength of the High Court is 49.
